The Great Junior Golf Design Challenge of 2020

Welcome to “The Great Junior Golf Design Challenge of 2020.” The challenge – a fun activity, not a contest – is simple. Design your own golf hole or take it a step further and create an entire course! The original challenge set the max age at 17 but for NJG’s challenge, ages 18 and under may submit their design ideas for a golf hole or course with no limitations; any par, style or strategy, from fun to serious. The emphasis of the program is to get creativity flowing, and to celebrate the art of golf course architecture among young people.

Submissions may be created in any medium (pencil, marker, crayon, paint or digital), just use the form posted here. Photos of the completed design can be sent to kkarcher@nebraskajuniorgolf.com or tweet us your design @NebJuniorGolf.

Your creation won’t stop there! We will forward your designs to the American Society of Golf Course Architects (ASGCA) and many of them could be shared on their social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter (@ASGCA) and Instagram (@asgca1947).

“It affords children the opportunity to express their creativity by imagining and graphically depicting their version of a fun and remarkable golf hole,” Lester George, ASGCA explained. “What better way to spend time during these days at home?” More from George and the ASGCA on this fun activity can be found on their website.
