Spring Junior Series Events are Open!

Attention all NJG girls who are currently in 9th grade or higher or will be in 9th grade in the current calendar year (Ex: 8th grader who will be a 9th grader in the following fall semester). The Spring Junior Series event registration opened on March 5th at 9am. There are three events in the series and the dates are below.

- April 18th @ York CC in York, NE - 10am shotgun start
- April 25th @ Table Creek GC in Nebraska City, NE - 10am shotgun start
- May 2nd @ Jackrabbit Run GC in Grand Island, NE - 10am shotgun start

All players must become 2026 NJG members to be able to participate in the SJS events. DON'T WAIT TO BECOME A MEMBER AND CREATE YOUR PLAYER PROFILE if you haven't already. Anyone who has played in NJG events before will already have a player profile created. Each player must have this done in order to be registered for these events as a team or individual. This process can be completed HEREWith any questions on renewing your membership or creating your player profile, contact me with the info at the bottom of this email.

These events will be individual stroke play with a team and individual leaderboard. For the team competition, the two low scores of the three for the event will be counted. There will be a series points race for both teams and individuals with the overall team and individual winners being recognized at the completion of the series. There is no requirement for a team or an individual to have to play in every event. For players competing on a team, one player/parent will register the entire team of three at the point of registration of the event. Any combination of the same four girls can make up a team throughout the series (reminder: only 3 girls at a time will register as a team for an event). Don't forget to come up with a series team name! There are spots available in each event for girls registering as an individual as well.

UNL CASNR SCHOLARSHIPS: As part of UNL PGA Golf Management's sponsorship of this series, UNL College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources (CASNR) will be awarding a $500 scholarship to the top 30 individual players on the final series points list. This scholarship will only be applicable to students who enroll in a UNL CASNR degree program. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Sue Ellen Pegg, College Relations Director, at (402) 472-0615 or spegg2@unl.edu.
