ASHLAND, Neb. – Nebraska Junior Golf concluded its 2026 championship season on Monday, August 3, with the 18-Hole NJG Tour Championship at Quarry Oaks Golf Club. The event brought together the top players from across the state to compete for Tour Championship titles in five age divisions, capping another successful summer of junior golf competition.
The championship featured outstanding play on one of Nebraska's premier golf courses, with several tightly contested divisions and impressive scores throughout the day.
In the Boys 16+ division, Sutton's Myles Smith closed out his outstanding season with a championship performance, firing a 3-under-par 69 to earn medalist honors. Smith finished two strokes ahead of Gretna's Drake Petersen and Elkhorn's Grady Friedrichsen, who shared second place with rounds of 71. Omaha's Tye Treadwell and Hickman's Landon Moore tied for fourth at 72, highlighting the depth of the championship field.
The Girls 16+ division saw Molly Goc of Columbus claim the Tour Championship title after carding a 76. Omaha's Reese Gloystein finished just one stroke back with a 77, while Lincoln's Tasha Kolbas placed third at 79. Hailey Schlegelmilch of Lincoln rounded out the top four with an 80.
Grand Island's Patrick Vilai captured the Boys 14–15 championship with a steady round of 73. Matthew Larreau of Lincoln and Brady Zehnder of Elkhorn shared runner-up honors at 78, while Bo Petr of Clay Center finished fourth with a 79.
In the Girls 14–15 division, Anna Midyett of Bennington earned the championship after posting an impressive 75. Addison Kloeckner of Papillion finished second with a 79, followed by Micajah Long of Kearney in third at 84.
The Boys 12–13 division featured another strong performance from Logan Katz of Beatrice, who claimed the Tour Championship with an even-par 73. Cruz Hinze of Waco finished second at 76, while River Bokowski of Gretna rounded out the top three with an 80.
The 2026 NJG Tour Championship marked the conclusion of another successful Nebraska Junior Golf season, bringing together the state's top junior golfers to compete for championship honors. Throughout the summer, players traveled across Nebraska competing in regular events, major two-day events, and Summit Series events while developing their skills and sportsmanship.
