The Driving Divas Take the 2026 SJS Team Honors

SJS Post Series Awards

LINCOLN (May 4, 2026) – Presented by the UNL PGA Golf Management Program, Nebraska Junior Golf completed the 2026 Spring Junior Series (SJS) for high school girls and incoming freshman. The SJS was wrapped up this past weekend and the post-series accolades recognizing the overall Champions as well as the All-Star Team and Captain have been awarded. The series consisted of three stroke play events held at York CC on April 18th, Golf Club at Table Creek on April 25th and finished at Jackrabbit Run GC on May 2nd. At each event, there was an individual competition including all players as well as a team competition for registered teams. The best two of three scores were counted for the team score.

The team at the top of the overall series leaderboard was the “Driving Divas”. They finished in the top 2 for each event, including victories at the Azalea event at York CC and the Juniper event at Table Creek. They accumulated 1400 points to earn the title of 2026 NJG Spring Junior Series Overall Team Champions. This winning squad featured some amazing talent, composed of Naryn Kim, Tasha Kolbas and Hailey Schlegelmilch all of Lincoln and Stella Sedlacek of Columbus. One of the main highlights of the entire series was the dominating play of Naryn Kim, who was named the Overall Individual Champion. Naryn topped the leaderboard of all three events, with an average margin of victory of over four strokes! This impressive sweep included two rounds under par (only player to finish under par in the entire series), one a blistering 67 (-4) at Table Creek to win by seven shots. A familiar face in the Spring Junior Series, KayLynn Jorgensen of Minden, had another solid series finishing runner up in the overall individual race, consistently cracking the top four in each event. Another story line to mention was the wonderful play by the two youngest players in the series. Both Anna Midyett of Bennington and Hailey Schlegelmilch of Lincoln (class of 2031) finished the series in the top 5 individually, battling toe to toe with a field much older than them. The future of girls junior golf is bright!

The overall SJS All-Star Team was also announced. These are the top 5 finishers in the series individual points race. The team is captained by Naryn Kim (1500 pts). Joining her is KayLynn Jorgensen (1000 pts), Eden Larson (775 pts), Anna Midyett (712.50 pts) and rounded out by Hailey Schlegelmilch (571.67 pts).
